Our Fitness Classes
Walking/Jogging
Invigorating leisure walks, power walks and jogs are amongst the available outdoor activities Don't forget to bring your trainers with you.
Cycling
We have 4 bicycles that can be hired through the Health Spa. A deposit of €50 will be required prior to taking the bicycles out and this deposit will be refunded when the bicycles are returned in the same condition as when they were hired
The costs are as follows:
€15.00 for hire between 9am – 1pm and 1pm – 6pm
€30.00 for the full day 9am – 6pm
Gym Induction
Let one of our qualified fitness instructors teach you how to use the gym equipment safely and effectively.
Circuits (Indoors and Outdoors)
These classes involve cardiovascular and resistance training. They will include various stations which work different body parts and the cardiovascular system. The time spent at each station can be in seconds, minutes or an amount of repetitions. There is usually a short recovery period between stations and the circuit is often repeated between 1 and 3 times.

Pilates
Pilates aims at improving the tone and alignment of the body by targeting the key postural muscles through subtle, controlled conditioning exercises. Focusing on core (torso) stabilisation it helps to reduce risk of back/postural problems.

Health Indicator Check
This simple test incorporates four of the most vital measurements covering a person's health & fitness:
- Cholesterol Screening
- Haemoglobin Iron Screening
- Glucose Screening and
- Blood pressure

Fitness Evaluation

An exercise prescription is geared towards those who wish to incorporate exercise into their lifestyle through a personalised programme. During this one hour consultation, advice and suggestions on exercise programmes will be given to ensure your time spent exercising is fun, safe and effective. A complete programme will be constructed for you to take home and implement.
Body Composition Analysis
This service will provide you with an analysis of your body composition - your body's LEAN and FAT weight. With guidance from a fitness instructor, it will help you in achieving the correct body composition for health, and allow any discussion on changes that will benefit you in terms of your activity levels and/or diet. The report will also provide you with an estimate of your basal metabolic rate which helps you to assess your daily calorie requirements.
Cholesterol Screening
Take the opportunity to find out your total blood cholesterol level in minutes, with a simple prick of the finger.
Your result will be recorded for you and explained by the fitness instructor, with future recommendations on how to control and reduce cholesterol levels.
